Simply relax and enjoy it all, traveling between your selected cities and towns by deluxe rail. Make your way from destination to destination in comfort on board Italy’s splendid trains as you gaze upon spectacular views and vistas that are sure to take your breath away. Travel to Venice, famed island city of lively piazzas, elegant palaces, gondolas and gondoliers. Delve into the Renaissance city of Florence and discover such iconic sites as the Ponte Vecchio, Michelangelo’s statue of the David in the Accademia, Brunelleschi’s imposing Duomo, and Pitti Palace. Travel to Rome and visit the Roman Forum, stop at the Colosseum, and enjoy Rome’s “Dolce Vita” through its people, piazzas, historic sites, and tratorrias. Take some time while in the Eternal City to travel to Vatican City where you can visit the Vatican Museums, St. Peter’s Basilica and Square and, at the Sistine Chapel, see Michelangelo’s magnificent ceiling and wall frescoes painted by many celebrated artists. Then travel to the Sorrentine peninsula and participate in the optional tours to Capri and the Amalfi Coast.

Day 1 Venice

Upon arrival in Venice check into your hotel. The balance of the day is at leisure on your own.

Day 2Venice

Today, enjoy a walking tour of Venice and Doge’s Palace. Have a walk outdoors (no entries) through the most characteristic and important places for the history of Venice. A qualified and experienced guide will escort you through the millennium of life of the Serenissima Republic, recalling the past full of charm of this unique city. At the end of the walking tour, visit of the Doge’s Palace. Palazzo Ducale represented for centuries the seat of the Venetian political power. In his splendid rooms, plastered and immersed in hundreds of masterpieces of painting, the Duke and his Council controlled the fate of a thousand-year history republic. (B)

Day 3Venice / Florece

After breakfast, board your highspeed train from Venice to arrive in Florence at 12:00 pm. Transfer from Santa Maria Novella railway station to hotel. In the afternoon you will join a Florence guided city tour. Crossing the beautiful and green hills of Florence we reach the picturesque Etruscan-Roman village of Fiesole that towers above Florence and the Arno Valley. Heading back to the city by bus, we will ride through the famous Lungarno (way along the Arno River) we will reach the Basilica di Santa Croce. Our walking tour will continue to Piazza Signoria, heart of the city social life. Here we will admire the architecture of Palazzo Vecchio and the famous statues of Loggia de’ Lanzi. Our Guide will finish the tour inside the Uffizi Gallery, where we will admire without queuing the impressive and magnificent paintings of Leonardo, Giotto, Michelangelo, Botticelli and Raffaello. Overnight at hotel in Florence. (B)

Day 4Florence ( Free Day )

Today is free to enjoy on your own or participate in optional tour to Tuscany. (B)

Day 5Florence

Another free day to venture on your own or join an optional tour to Pisa or Cinque Terre. (B)

Day 6Florence / Rome

Today you board your highspeed train from Florence to Rome. Upon arrival transfer from Termini train station to your hotel and check-in. The balance of the day is at leisure to explore on your own. (B)

Day 7Rome

After breakfast, departure to visit the Vatican City. Enjoy a guided excursion to visit Vatican Museum, Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica without standing in line. Upon arrival your guide will lead you into the museums where you’ll visit one of the most important art collection of the world. Admire the beautiful spiral stairway the gallery of tapestries and geographical maps, before arriving at the famous Sistine Chapel and the unforgettable Basilica! Your afternoon is free to explore Rome on your own. (B)

Day 8Rome (Free Day)

Enjoy a full day free to explore Rome on your own or join one of our optional tours. (B)

Day 9Rome / Sorrento

After breakfast, board your high speed train from Rome to Naples. Upon arrival in Naples transfer by private car (2:30 hrs) to Sorrento. Check-in at your hotel and the balance of the day is at leisure. (B)

Day 10Sorrento

Today we recommend a drive along the world famous Amalfi Coast. Your first stop could be Positano. Thanks to its unique architecture, the town is considered today one of the most beautiful stretches in the Amalfi coastline. Continuing through the wonderful villages of Praiano, Furore and Conca dei Marini, you can stop in Amalfi for a couple of hours and discover the history of this ancient Maritime Republic. Last stop will be Ravello where you will be able to stroll around this little village located just above Amalfi. Return to Sorrento for overnight. (B)

Day 11Sorrento (Optional excursion to Capri )

Today is free at leisure or you may participate in an unforgettable optional excursion to Capri Island. You will enjoy a scenic boat ride to Capri Island and full day visit to admire the natural beauties and the charming atmosphere: the Augustus Gardens, the famous Piazzetta. Lunch in restaurant. In the afternoon, return to Sorrento by ferry boat. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Sorrento. (B)

Day 12Sorrento / Naples

Morning depart from Sorrento to Naples airport for your return flight home. (B)
