1. What is and isn't included in the price shown online for my trip?

What's included in this price:

  • All hotels
  • Breakfast daily and some evening meals as described in the trip itinerary
  • All hotel taxes, fees, and local taxes (except where excluded)
  • Sightseeing and activities as described in your itinerary

Airport transfers depend on your destination and tours, please see tour includes for more information

What isn't included in this price:

  • Flights. These can be added during the booking process.
  • Extra hotel nights before and after your trip. These can be added during the booking process.
  • Optional experiences. These can be booked and paid for during the booking process.
  • Travel insurance. This can be added during the booking process. For more information on travel insurance, please see our Travel Insurance page.
2. Can I book flights through Infinity Worldwide Vacations?

Yes. Flights are not included in the trip price but you can add flights during the booking process once you've selected a departure for your trip.

3. Can I book extra hotel nights before or after my trip through Infinity?

The price displayed on our trip pages is for a twin room. To check the solo price for a trip, select the number of travelers to be 1 on the departure of your choice and view the price and availability of solo rooms in the next step.

If you see the message that the room is 'on request', this means the departure has limited single-room availability. In this instance, we will need to request a single allocation.

Please Contact Us if you need any further assistance.

4. How much are your deposits and when is the full payment due?

Our trip deposit amount and full payment due date depend on your trip type. During the booking process, we will indicate the deposit amount and final payment due date.

All payment dates and amounts are also on your invoice. Please note that deposit and full payment terms may vary for special offers.

1. Pre-trip preparation

It is each traveler’s responsibility to have a passport valid for at least 6 months beyond the dates of travel and a visa if required. IMPORTANT: Passengers who are not U.S. citizens must check with the respective consulate or a visa agency to determine what personal identification is required. Passengers who enter, leave, and then re-enter the same country on their itinerary should check if they require a double-entry visa. Passport applications are available at most U.S. Post Offices, as well as at regional Passport Agencies. Passengers requiring visas, whether obtained in advance or locally upon arrival, should ensure that their passport has blank pages.

Traveling with Friends or Family?
If you are traveling with friends or family who are booked on another reservation, please make sure that we are aware. On occasion, we may operate more than one vehicle on your tour departure in which case we will ensure that guests will be assigned together. This is achieved by connecting your reservations before your departure. Once you arrive in your destination, it may not be possible to make assignment changes. To check that your reservations are linked, log into https://book.goiwwv.com/customerportal/Login.aspx with your email and password, select your reservation number, and check to see that your reservations are indicated as “Traveling With” at the top right side of the display.

Trip Preparation
A little pre-planning can make your trip go a lot smoother. Several weeks before your trip, make a list of what you will need to take with you. Make sure your personal documents (passports, visas, driver’s license) are in order. Make sure also that you have enough prescription medications to last through the trip and carry them with you in case your luggage is delayed. Bring a change of clothes in your carry on bag in the event that your luggage is delayed or lost. We suggest that you make photocopies of passports, visas, personal ID, and any other important travel documents and pack them separately from the originals. You may also make a digital copy of your passport to keep a clear picture with the important details in your cell phone or digital camera photos. If you lose the originals while traveling, you’ll have copies for easier reporting and replacement. Pack a list of medications including dosage and generic names. You may consider bringing a small supply of over the counter medications for headaches and/or anti-diarrhea pills (especially when traveling outside of the USA and Western Europe). We recommend that you pack a portable alarm clock. Due to security reasons, many museums have restrictions on the size of bags that can be taken inside and backpacks, carry-on bags or large purses may not be permitted. It is recommended to bring a small shoulder bag or purse to use in these situations instead. Avoid placing valuables such as cameras in your checked luggage. Airplane pressure can cause similar pressure in your body, most notably in the ears, as well as in liquid tubes and bottles. Your physician can suggest medication for decongestion. We suggest that you place liquid containers into Ziploc bags to catch any leaks.

2. Airport Information

Arrive On Time
Due to increased security measures, you should plan to check in at least three hours before the scheduled departure time for international flights and two hours prior for domestic flights. Many airlines do not permit check-in less than one hour before the scheduled departure time. It is your responsibility to arrive on time for all scheduled flights. Enhanced security procedures, including passenger screening, canine inspection, and inspection of personal electronic devices, have been implemented for all flights into the United States, and therefore security procedures may take longer than normal.

Check-In
If your flight itinerary displays a flight as “Operated By” another carrier, you should check in at the desk of the “Operated By” airline. When you arrive at the airport, check the airport monitors for updated check-in desk listings. At check-in, be prepared to provide your government-issued identification (valid passport required when traveling internationally) and your e-ticket itinerary/ticket numbers to the agent. Once you’ve checked in and received your boarding passes and luggage claim tickets, proceed directly to the security check. Security lines are often backed up and can take time to get through. Once you’ve completed the security check, proceed directly to your gate and check the large electronic flight screens for your flight time and departure gate for schedule and gate changes. Airport desk clerks will assist with unexpected changes. Once you are in the gate area you can relax, shop, or buy a snack before your flight.

Connecting Passengers
Passengers connecting from another point within the USA should check their luggage through to their final destination. Although problems with lost luggage have been minimal, it is a possibility. Certain carriers do not allow baggage “interlining,” and luggage must be checked separately for each flight. When you check your luggage, please verify where your luggage is being sent. When connecting between flights in major airports, you may need to pass through multiple security checkpoints. Therefore, we recommend that you proceed immediately to the gate area for your connecting flight to avoid any unexpected delays which may cause you to be late. Passengers returning to the USA may need to collect their luggage at the first airport of entry and recheck their luggage for their connecting flight.

3. Arrival & Departure Information

Arrival Procedures

Upon arrival, please complete immigration formalities if necessary and claim your luggage. If your program includes airport arrival transfers, check your voucher for specific instructions, as they vary with every destination. In most cases, you will be met after collecting your luggage or passing through Customs by the local representative who will be holding an Infinity Worldwide Vacations sign and/or a sign with your name on it. In some instances, you will be instructed to walk a short distance to a transportation counter. The company’s name and location will be printed on your voucher. If for any reason you do not connect with Infinity’s transfer personnel, go to the Tourist Information Desk and ask them to page the Infinity Worldwide Vacations representative or phone the number on your voucher. If you are delayed due to lost luggage, phone the number on the voucher or have a companion exit the Customs Area to advise the transfer representative.

What To Do When Your Flight Is Delayed
Airlines do not share flight manifest information. Therefore, the only way we may learn of a delay or schedule change while you are traveling is from you, the traveler. The sooner you are able to contact one of our offices, the better we can respond. Please refer to the Emergency Assistance instructions on this same document. Infinity Worldwide Vacations is only able to guarantee pre-reserved arrival transfers for up to one hour from the scheduled time, no matter the cause. In case you are delayed for any reason and are unable to follow the instructions on your voucher, please make independent transfer arrangements and retain your receipts. Unused tour services, including transfers and hotel nights, are not refundable. Upon your return home you will need to contact your airline and/or insurance carrier to investigate the possibility of reimbursement for any unused tour services.

Departure Procedures
If your program includes departure transfers, instructions will be stated on your voucher or provided locally.

Transfers
Due to local traffic and other extenuating circumstances, we ask that you allow 30 minutes from your scheduled transfer time for our representative to arrive. This includes hotel, airport, and cruise transfers. Such possible delays are taken into consideration in scheduling transfers and you should therefore have no concerns about arriving late for your tour, flight, or cruise. For transfers from a hotel, let the hotel reception desk or concierge know that you are waiting for a transfer. In the case of a missed transfer, reimbursement for your out-of-pocket expenses will be considered provided you obtain a written statement from the hotel’s front desk verifying the length of time you waited, and the time you left the hotel and a receipt for your transportation with time and date.

The cost of a transfer is more expensive than hiring a taxi, as an Infinity transfer necessarily includes round trip service, or ‘dead-leg’. Often the places of call (airports, seaports, hotels) demand entrance and parking fees, where drivers may have to wait for up to an hour. Passengers comfortable hiring a taxi on their own and who do not require assistance will save money.

4. Hotel check-in process

Hotels
Infinity Worldwide Vacations has carefully selected each hotel based on overall quality, location, price, food, service, and cleanliness. All rooms are standard twin-bedded (two single beds) rooms with private facilities unless you have specifically requested and paid for an upgraded room category. Special requests such as bed types, smoking preference, and connecting rooms are subject to availability. Room selection in all cases, unless otherwise reserved, is strictly at the discretion of the hotel’s management on a run-of-house basis. Triple rooms consist of standard twin beds or one double bed plus a sofa/folding bed or cot for the third person except in the U.S. and Canada, where triple rooms often consist of two double/queen beds for three persons; where available, a fee may be charged by the hotel for the addition of a cot/rollaway. The number of persons accommodated does not dictate the room size. Although available at most 4 and 5-star hotels, the use of air-conditioning abroad differs greatly from the United States and is often shut down at night and from the end until the start of the summer months. Some lodges and accommodations in remote regions may not have all of the amenities, such as a hairdryer, alarm clock, and room service, that you might find in a larger hotel located in a city center.

Hotel Check-in/ Check-out
Hotel check-in time is generally not before 4:00 p.m. and check-out time is before noon. If you will be arriving early in the day or departing in the evening, hotels will usually allow you to store your luggage in their luggage room. Ask at the front desk if the hotel can check you in earlier, or let you stay later.

Scotland – Hotels in Scotland often encompass the traditional style of the region. You can expect marginally lower standards at the hotel properties. Rooms may be smaller in size with very low lighting and limited access to electrical outlets. Rooms may also lack all of the amenities, including air-conditioning, microwaves, refrigerators, in-room safes, and luggage racks.

 5. Luggage

Checked bags are typically limited to a total dimension of 62 inches by adding length + width + height (example: 26″+26″+10″ = 62”), and a maximum weight of 50 lbs (23kg). Smart Bags with a USB charging port, GPS tracking device, and other high-tech features are prohibited as checked or carry-on baggage unless the bag is made with removable batteries and the batteries are removed and stored separately. Many airlines charge for checked bags including flights that begin and end within the USA. The most inexpensive airfare options commonly known as Basic Economy airfares do not include any checked bags or seat assignments before the day of departure. However, for some airlines, other airfare categories also do not include checked baggage. This will be displayed in our airfare selection and on your invoice. Where available, we highly recommend selecting airfares that include at least 1 piece of checked baggage. Infinity Worldwide Vacations is not responsible for checked bag fees, excess luggage, or weight charges levied by an airline. Checked baggage allowances displayed on reservation details and invoices reflect the applicable allowance at the time of booking but are subject to change by your airline(s). For your airline’s requirements and fees, you should check with your chosen carrier for details before travel.

PORTERAGE For ease and comfort porterage is offered on select tours and would be included for each guest’s suitcase throughout the trip (one item per person) which means that you only have to bring your hand luggage on and off the coach each day. The porters will deliver all suitcases to the coach where the Travel Director will check them and the driver load them into the baggage compartment.

On arrival at each hotel, suitcases will be delivered to your rooms by the hotel porters when available. We suggest that you may wish to pack toiletries and any personal items you may want immediately on arrival in your hand baggage where they are instantly available.

6. Meals & Beverages

Your chosen trip itinerary will provide details of all included meals. Where included there may be a table d’hôtel menu (set), buffet, or a typical regional menu. You and your traveling companions will generally dine together at a designated time. Tables will often vary in size and free seating enables you to dine with family members or new traveling companions each evening.

When a choice of menu is offered, you may be required to make your meal selection in advance.

Iced water will be provided during your meal with tea and coffee will be served afterward on select tours. Some Infinity Worldwide Vacations, dinners will include the choice of a complimentary glass of wine, beer, or soft drink. Any additional beverages may be purchased at your own cost and any bills settled at the end of the meal.

A Breakfast buffet is included daily and will reflect the local region’s tastes and culture. Breakfast items may also include some familiar favorites such as eggs, bacon, bread, muffins, cereals, fruit, yogurt, and cold meats and cheese. Occasionally an early departure may result in a packed breakfast for you to take away.

Lunches are sometimes included but are usually an opportunity for the guest to enjoy some free time to visit a local café, bar, or restaurant and eat where the locals do. Your Travel Director/host will be able to provide you with a range of options to suit all tastes and preferences on select tours.

Please refer to your itinerary for details of all included meals and planned dining experiences.

SPECIFIC DIETARY REQUESTS We encourage all guests to advise us about any specific dietary needs that they may have (vegetarian, diabetic, gluten-free, etc.) and will strive to accommodate these.

It is important to discuss any special dietary requirements with your Travel Director at the beginning of the trip, as hotels and restaurants do need to be advised in advance. Suppliers will do their utmost to provide an alternative to the menu. However, such requests cannot be guaranteed on every occasion.

7. Packing

The weather varies by region, proximity to water, altitude, and time of year so we suggest that you pack layers of clothing that can be added or removed as necessary. A comfortable pair of flat shoes /trainers for walking is essential as you will be visiting cities and sites with cobbled streets and uneven terrain. A light waterproof jacket may also be useful and a sun hat during the summer months.

Bear in mind that some excursions will take in visits to Cathedrals or other religious locations where more modest attire, covering the shoulders to below the knees, is appropriate. There may be a restriction on shorts / mini-skirts and bare shoulders at some religious sites, where both men and women are required to cover up. A scarf applied across the shoulders is perfectly acceptable. This is particularly important in countries such as Italy where standards of dress are rigorously enforced but are also respectful elsewhere.

A SMART OUTFIT You may wish to bring a dressier outfit for visits to the cabaret, theatre, or an elegant restaurant. Smart casual clothes are usually acceptable attire for other evening activities.

8. Safety and Security while traveling

Relaxing and being able to switch off from everyday concerns is all part of the holiday experience and your Travel Director is there every step of the way to ensure that things run seamlessly. However, it is good to be aware of issues that could affect your enjoyment of your holiday and it’s our job to remind you to take certain precautions when you’re traveling.

Take a good look at the following guidance, as well as any other information that’s given to you or is on display throughout your trip. That information may be provided by us, our travel Directors, or suppliers, either before you go, or when you arrive at your destination and your hotels.

On arrival at your hotel, your Travel Director will provide you with their contact number that you can save to your mobile phone or write down and keep somewhere safe and accessible or our travel representative information would be listed on your voucher.

General Safety

PERSONAL BELONGINGS Many of us carry the latest phones, cameras, and tablets. Be wary of showing them off in crowded places and never leave them on the table in restaurants, bars, hotel lobbies, and public places.

BAGS Keep bags with you at all times and if possible wear the strap across your body. When visiting crowded places, ensure the bag is worn on the front of the body. Never keep money or valuables in your suitcase.

PASSPORT Make sure your passport is always safe. Keep it on your person on travel days. Many hotels provide safety deposit boxes for your use on longer stays but be sure to reclaim them before checking out. Make a photocopy of your passport and important documents and keep them separately from the originals and make a note of emergency numbers for any credit/ bank cards that you use.

CASH Conceal a few notes on your person for emergency funds should you mislay your purse/wallet or bag and avoid excessive displays of wealth. (Only carry sufficient cash for your daily needs.)

HOTELS When leaving your room, securely shut all windows and close the door to your room as you exit, with enough force to ensure it properly locks. Remember to keep your room key safely on you.

On arrival at a new hotel familiarize yourself with escape routes and locate the nearest fire exit to your room. Always know how to raise the alarm.

ROAD SAFETY Please take care when crossing roads. Before exiting the coach, please check the traffic direction and note the drop from the last step to the ground. This can vary in depth at each stop and is especially important later in the day when the lights may be fading.

SITUATIONAL AWARENESS Avoid confrontational situations and large gatherings and if at any time a situational doesn’t feel right walk away.

HOSTILE SITUATIONS In the very unlikely situation you find yourself in the vicinity of a hostile incident, leave immediately and contact the police – call 112 in Europe/999 in the UK/911 in the US. If you are unable to leave, find somewhere to hide, lock the door, and keep as quiet as possible. (Remember to turn your phone to silent) and contact the police.

Be as alert to current security issues on vacation as you are at home. Your Travel Director will keep you informed regarding the areas in which you are traveling and provide gentle reminders and suggestions to ensure your safety and well-being throughout each day of your vacation.

9. Tipping and Gratuities

Tipping etiquette varies by country, culture, and situation and it is a gesture that shows appreciation for the quality of service that you received.

On select tours, we have pre-paid certain tips and gratuities for you. Baggage handling at hotels, service charges, and tips for hotel wait staff (for included meals) will be taken care of by your Travel Director for such tours. There are however a few instances where individual tipping is welcome.

TAXIS Usually rounding up the fare for gratuity for the driver is more than adequate in most countries. Always ask hotel or airport staff for recommended taxi companies and ensure that pricing is indicated before departure. If possible pre-negotiate any fares with the driver.

RESTAURANTS There is no obligation to leave a tip, but between 5% and 10% is normal in most restaurants, although make sure to check that a service charge hasn’t already been added on! You’ll more often than not find that it has been. Also bear in mind that tipping is only necessary at a table service restaurant. When eating out at the likes of a pub or fast food outlet where you order your food from a counter, tipping isn’t necessary or in any way expected.

In general, if you’re unsure about tipping, don’t go any higher than 10%, unless of course that the service was so fantastic you feel you want to do so! Servers may not receive tips when left on a credit card, so always try to tip in cash whenever possible.

HOTEL SERVICES It is customary to tip hotel staff for room service delivery if the charge has not already been added to the bill. Where ice machines are not available, and you receive ice from the bar, a small tip to the bartender is always appreciated.

LOCAL EXPERTS It is customary to show appreciation for the insights, stories, and know how shared with you by the local Experts and we suggest a gratuity of €1-2 (Euro) £1-2 (GBP) in the UK per person per half day.

DRIVER Gratuities for your driver are not included in the trip cost and the suggested gratuity of €3.50(Euro) £3 (GBP) in the UK per day per person is recommended in appreciation of a job well done.

TRAVEL DIRECTOR/Local Host At the end of your trip you may wish to express appreciation to your Travel Director for their excellent service and the personal attention you received. Gratuities are given at the discretion of each guest, but it is customary to give an amount of €6( Euro) £5 (GBP) in the UK/person/day.

10. Travel Money

When planning how much money to bring we suggest that you consider such things as spending money for meals that are not included e.g. lunches and beverages, alcoholic drinks, etc. Any Optional Experiences/sightseeing trips that you may wish to purchase, as well as shopping, gratuities, and any incidentals such as laundry or dry cleaning and so on.

When planning to use credit and debit cards in Europe we recommend that you notify your bank and credit card company before your departure to provide them with information regarding where you are traveling and to obtain PIN codes if you do not already know them. This ensures that your provider will not deny payment because they think the transaction could be fraudulent. It is also good practice to have an overseas contact number for your bank and/or credit card company with you if you need their assistance when traveling.

Throughout Europe, ATMs are available to withdraw cash. There will be a fee, but these are still the most cost-effective method of cash withdrawal and ATMs can usually be found in the customs arrival hall or airport terminal building. Your Travel Director will also be able to advise you regarding the location of banks/ATMs etc. as you travel.

When using ATMs please remember to, only insert cards into machines bearing the logo of your particular card. Most machines have a maximum withdrawal limit and debit cards are preferable to credit cards as transaction fees are less.

While most major credit cards are generally accepted by shops and hotels throughout Europe, you may find that there is a minimum charge for using them. It is also becoming more common for identification to be requested when making payments by credit card, so remember to carry your passport or driver’s license with you. When making purchases with your credit card you will be charged in local currency by the vendor and your credit card company will convert the charges based on the exchange rate that they implement. A fee is charged for this. Visa, American Express, or MasterCard are widely accepted in most shops and restaurants.

If you plan to purchase local currency before you travel we suggest that you request notes of smaller denominations as many local stores and restaurants may not be willing to accept the higher ones. For example, if purchasing Euros, request denominations of €50, €20, and €10 that way you will have the right amount to offer payment for anything from a cup of coffee to a three-course lunch!

11. Young people and children traveling

At Infinity Worldwide Vacations, our younger guests are just as important as our older ones, so we’ve taken care to craft action-packed itineraries that’ll impress the young and we welcome children aged five years or older to travel on our guided vacations. All children and young people under eighteen years old must however be accompanied by an adult who will be responsible for their supervision and welfare.

Some countries have established practices to prevent international abductions of children and because of this, it is recommended that you secure a “Child Travel Consent” before departure if you are traveling with a minor who is under eighteen years of age. This documents that a minor has permission from his or her parent(s) or guardian(s) to travel and may be requested by authorities and officials when a child is traveling internationally:

  • With one parent or guardian
  • Without a parent
  • Alone
  • With an adult who is not a parent or guardian

If the traveling parent has sole custody, he or she will require a notarized true copy of a court order or equivalent proving custody. If both parents have custody, or the non-traveling parent has custody, the traveling parent will need notarized consent from the non-traveling parent. We recommend that you contact relevant consulates and airlines for additional information and guidance.

1. Minimize Jet-Lag

To minimize fatigue and general restlessness caused by jet lag, there are a few steps you may take including switching to your destination time zone when you board the plane, sleeping and eating according to the new schedule, avoiding heavy eating, caffeine, or alcoholic beverages before or during your flight, and by drinking plenty of water and/or fruit juice while flying. Try to sleep on overnight flights and then, upon arrival, avoid the temptation to nap until nighttime.

2. First Aide

Every day over-the-counter medications are not carried on the motor coach. Your Travel Director/Local Representative will be able to advise you on where to purchase these items if needed.

3. Hotel Check-in & Check-out

Arrangements are made to ensure that check-in and check-out procedures at hotels run smoothly. All room allocations are done by the hotel before arrival. On departing the hotel, always remember to return your room key to the front desk.

4. Personal Hotel Expenses

Any additional costs incurred during your stay at the hotels are your responsibility. Please make certain that your account is settled on the evening before departure to ensure a smooth and speedy check-out.

 5. Drinks

Unless specified, these are at your own expense. Always remember to drink enough water to avoid dehydration, especially in hot climates. Bottled water is available for sale on select tours. In some European cafés/bars, you pay one price to drink at the bar and a higher price to sit at a table. Alcoholic drinks can be much more expensive if purchased in hotel bars.

Minibars: Some hotel rooms have small refrigerators stocked with drinks and ice, but check the price list before consuming as they can be expensive.

6. Meals

North America

Breakfasts: Consist of a full American breakfast served at the hotel (unless otherwise noted on your itinerary).
Lunches: People have varying requirements at lunchtime, so lunch is usually not included but we will ensure that you have inexpensive and healthy options across the continent.
Included dinners: Feature a variety of menus to reflect local cuisine, to give you a real taste of the location. Note: When dinner is not included your Travel Director/Local Host will have some suggestions, just right to fit your taste and budget.

Europe

Daily breakfasts following local traditions are included. On a trip to Britain and Ireland, you will enjoy a full-cooked breakfast. In Scandinavia and mainland Europe, you’ll enjoy a buffet-style breakfast. (On very early departures a breakfast box may be provided). Please do not take food away from the dining rooms – this is not permitted and you may be charged if you do.
Lunch: People have varying requirements at lunchtime, so lunch is usually not included.
On traveling days, snack/meal stops are made where there are sufficient facilities to cater to groups. Your Travel Director’s choice of meal stops will be made by taking all factors of the day’s planning into account.
Dinner: The Infinity meal plan includes an evening meal on most traveling days with hotels offering a range of international food. There are also lots of opportunities to enjoy local specialties, fine dining, and regional wines when dining independently.

Special Dietary Requirements.
It is important to discuss any special dietary requirements with your Travel Director/Local Host at the beginning of the trip, as hotels and restaurants need to be advised in advance. Most places will do their best to provide an alternative to the menu. However, such requests cannot be guaranteed on every occasion.

7. Optional Experiences

Since every passenger has different interests and priorities, it is neither possible nor desirable to include every activity in the itinerary. To enhance your experience, we offer a range of optional visits, activities, and local meals. These can be booked and purchased in advance during the booking process and through your Travel Director/local host on select tours.

Please note: Optional Experiences and their prices may vary due to seasonal conditions and minimum passenger participation, and are subject to change without notice.

8. Shopping

Most people enjoy bringing home at least one souvenir from the countries they visit. However, some find any amount of shopping to be too much while others never find enough opportunities.

We have built into our guided itineraries a few shopping stops at recommended spots. These stops are designed to enhance your experience by providing an opportunity to see first-hand quality locally-crafted merchandise that you may not be able to find on your own. Shops are checked to ensure the quality and authenticity of the products they offer, and we limit guides from visiting other locations. In some cases, we plan these stops to provide an opportunity to use clean bathrooms and to stretch your legs. All shops want your satisfaction, and therefore in case of any misunderstanding, they ask that you kindly submit your claim to us within one week of the item’s receipt. Claims submitted later will be subject to each store’s policies.

While shopping independently, we advise you to exercise care and common sense when making any purchase. Always get a formal receipt. And remember that, just like in this country, if a deal seems too good to be true, it probably is!

About Tax-Free Shopping
Tax-Free Shopping allows shoppers to reclaim the VAT (Value-Added Tax) or GST (Goods and Services Tax) they have paid on their purchases in some foreign countries in accordance with restrictions and procedures as dictated by each country. Refund eligibility varies by country but may require presenting a scanned copy of your passport at the time of purchase, a minimum amount spent, or providing original store receipts. For more details, check the respective country’s online website, with the shop salesperson, with your tour manager, or at www.globalblue.com for specific country regulations and airport operation hours. Please keep in mind that you must apply for a VAT refund in the airport of the country where the items were purchased and allow enough time before your flight for the application.

U.S. Customs & Shipping Charges
You may carry items with a fair retail value totaling $800 into the U.S. Taxes may be applied to the next $1,000 worth of merchandise. U.S. Customs determines the value of your items, often honoring a genuine sales receipt. Items that are shipped home are always subject to duty when received in the U.S. (in addition to shipping charges). Some shops may offer to include shipping and duties in the price but this typically means shipping only to the customs facility closest to you and payment only of the export duties; you would still need to collect the item and pay U.S. import duties. Please be aware that it is illegal to import products made from endangered animal species. U.S. Customs & Border Protection will seize these items, as well as most furs, coral, tortoiseshells, reptile skins, feathers, plants, and items made from animal skins.

9. Holidays & Changes

During local or national holidays, certain facilities such as scheduled meals, sightseeing, other included activities, and shopping may be limited, so we sometimes have to make slight itinerary adjustments.

10. Tipping

North America

In North America, it is customary to tip for a variety of services. Whether you agree or disagree with the practice, tipping is a way of life in America. As a guide, if the service is of good quality, a restaurant is usually tipped 15-20% of the total bill before tax. In bars and pubs, the bartender and cocktail server usually earn between $1-$2 per drink depending on the price of the drink. Other services from taxi drivers to hairdressers normally receive 10%. Your Travel Director can also answer any questions you may have regarding when and how much to tip.
Many passengers also ask for guidance on the amount to tip your Travel Director and Driver to express their satisfaction with the service received. The recommended amounts are Travel Director per person per day $6-7, Driver per person per day $4-5.

Europe

In Europe, it is customary to tip for a variety of services. As a guide, in a restaurant, you would usually tip 15% if the service is good. Your Travel Director can answer any questions you may have regarding when and how much to tip. Many passengers also ask for guidance on the amount to tip your Travel Director and Driver to express their satisfaction with the service received. The recommended amounts are Travel Director per person per day €5.00 (£ Sterling 4.00 Driver per person per day €3.00 (£ Sterling 2.50).

11. Security on your trip

While your Travel Director/local host is always there to guide you, it also helps if you take your own precautions.

  • If you are exploring on your own, tell someone where you are going, and don’t go down poorly lit or narrow alleys.
  • During your free time, make sure you don’t leave the hotel without writing down the address and phone number of your accommodations.
  • Do not leave money & valuables in your hotel room while you are out. Where possible use the hotel safe.
  • Do not leave valuables on the coach (even during short stops).
  • Avoid scam artists by being wary of strangers who approach you and offer to sell you something at bargain prices.
  • Beware of pickpockets. They often have an accomplice who will: Jostle you; Ask you for directions or the time; Point to something spilled on your clothing; Distract you by creating a disturbance.
  • Wear your bag across your chest and walk with the bag away from the road to avoid drive-by bag snatchers.
  • Try to be as inconspicuous as possible – wear appropriate clothing that does not make you stand out and look purposeful when you move about. Even if you are lost, act as though you know where you are and try to only ask for directions from individuals in authority.
  • Don’t attract unwanted attention by flashing large amounts of money when paying for bills or shopping.
  • When traveling, do not leave your bags or belongings unattended at any time.
  • A money belt worn under your clothing is the safest place to carry valuables. Your money belt should be undetectable under your clothing and should not be regularly accessed throughout the day. What to put in your money belt: Passport: You’re legally supposed to have it with you at all times; Spare Credit or Debit card; Cash and Travellers Cheques – Larger bills; Emergency contact lists.
  • Most importantly stay alert, be aware of your surroundings and listen to your Travel Director who is always looking after your best interests.

Latest Travel Update

Dubai, Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, Turkey, updated 14 November 2023

Tours continue to operate as scheduled without interruption.  We maintain regular communication with our regional offices, suppliers, and local authorities, ensuring that tour operations are conducted safely.  In addition, our tour managers remain vigilant regarding local conditions and will avoid areas where potential protests and demonstrations may occur.

We understand that given the ongoing Israel-Gaza conflict, there may be concerns about traveling to the Middle East and North Africa. To address this, we are offering an exception to our standard terms and conditions by providing flexibility to cancel and receive a land (and Nile River cruise for Egypt) credit for departures through February 29th, 2024.  All relevant reservations have been emailed with complete details.

Israel, updated 06 November 2023

We are deeply saddened by the ongoing situation in Israel. Our hearts and thoughts are with everyone in the affected areas.

All tours to Israel departing up until May 31st, 2024 will be suspended. Any guests booked on the affected departures will be contacted by us directly in the next few days about their options for rescheduling or alternative travel destinations.

Please note that the suspensions affect Israel only and our tours in Egypt and Jordan continue to run as scheduled.

Morocco, updated 10 October 2023

Tours are operating normally again following the September earthquake. No Infinity Worldwide Vacations tour or guests were impacted.

Why is Travel insurance important?

By adding travel insurance to your booking, you're covered in case of medical emergencies, trip cancellations, baggage loss and more. Plus, some countries will only let you enter the country if you have travel insurance.

Inportant: Travel insurance doesn't cover everything. Restrictions, exclusions and limitations apply and coverage may not be the same or available for residents of all countries, states or provinces. Check the policy documents for full details. You can find them on the checkout page.
